2024 Honda® Montesa Cota 4RT 260R
TRIALS MASTERPIECETrials riding might look easy, but it’s one of the toughest, most precise forms of off-road riding. Which is why the best trials rider in the world—34-time World Champion Toni Bou—chooses a Montesa. Combining a highly refined Honda engine with Montesa’s years of expertise, the Montesa Cota 4RT 260R is a trials bike that you can start on and ride right through to your own championships. It’s an excellent choice for recreational trials riding too. Updates this year include new color choices and graphics, a hew handlebar, new grips and updated footpegs.
Features may include:
PERFORMANCE- PGM-FI ENGINE
The Honda Montesa Cota 4RT 260R features fuel-injected power that’s easy to modulate, for the surgical power delivery so critical to trials riding. The 259cc liquid-cooled four-stroke engine is specifically tuned for low-rpm response and extraordinarily flexible, with plenty of power and torque all the way through the rev range. A high-pressure fuel pump helps give the engine a strong power curve.
- KICKSTART LEVER
The Cota 4RT 260R features a long kickstart lever, helping ensure easy one-kick starts no matter where you are on the course.
ENGINEERING- CHASSIS
The Montesa Cota 4RT 260R uses an aluminum chassis with a gorgeous finish, showcasing classic lines and the impeccable manufacturing quality. The rear-brake pedal is short to avoid impacts and allow the rider more freedom of movement.
HANDLING- PREMIUM SUSPENSION
The Montesa Cota 4RT 260R offers an adjustable 39mm Showa® fork and Showa shock acting in conjunction with the Pro-Link® rear suspension.
- BRAKES AND WHEELS
The Montesa Cota 4RT 260R is equipped with a 4-piston monoblock front-brake caliper and uses 32-spoke wheels. The rear wheel features an innovative system incorporating central-adjustment spokes for a significant weight reduction, and which also allows the Cota to fit a tubeless rear tire.
TECHNOLOGY- DUAL-MAP ECU
Does your course feature sections with poor traction, followed by sections with better grip? No problem—the 4RT 260R features a handlebar-mounted mode switch that lets you choose between two maps/modes to change engine power delivery.
- ADVANCED ENGINEERING
The Cota’s Honda engine uses a battery-less digital ignition system, and includes a bank-angle sensor to switch off the ignition when the motorcycle is lying on the ground.
